Privacy Policy

SnapFrame turns iPhone screen recordings and screenshots into polished, framed videos and images. It’s built to respect your privacy: there are no accounts, and your editing happens on your device. This policy explains the limited data we handle and why.

The short version

Information we handle

Media you edit. The screen recordings, screenshots, and photos you open in SnapFrame stay on your device for normal editing and export. We never upload them unless you use Auto Edit (below).

Auto Edit content. When you tap Auto Edit, SnapFrame creates a compressed copy of the selected recording or screenshot and sends it to our backend, where a third-party AI provider analyzes it and returns suggested edits (zooms, cuts, captions, and similar). This media is used only to produce your result. It is not used to train AI models and is not sold. It is retained only as long as needed to provide the feature.

Anonymous device identifier. SnapFrame creates a random identifier stored securely on your device. It is used to apply Auto Edit usage limits and to associate any subscription you purchase. It is not your name, email, or Apple ID, and it isn’t used to track you across other apps or websites.

Subscription status. If you buy SnapFrame Pro, Apple processes the payment and we use RevenueCat to manage your subscription. They receive purchase information and the anonymous device identifier. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

Camera, microphone, and photo access. With your permission, SnapFrame accesses photos and videos you select to import and saves your exports to your photo library. The optional talking-head bubble uses the camera and microphone to record a clip that is composited into your video on your device. This recorded media stays on your device unless you choose to run Auto Edit on a project that includes it.

Support messages. If you email us or use the in-app feedback link, we receive whatever you choose to send (such as your email address and message) so we can respond.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate SnapFrame. They process data only to provide their service to us:

Our website

This website is a static marketing site. It does not use third-party analytics or advertising/tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and reliability.

How we use information

We use the limited data above to provide and maintain the app, run the Auto Edit feature, apply fair-use limits and prevent abuse, manage subscriptions, and respond to support requests. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.

Your choices and rights

Children

SnapFrame is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect the data we handle, including encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be reflected here.
